Acupuncture

Acupuncture points are areas on the body  where there is a measurably higher bioelectric charge. When activated by a needle, that electrical charge stimulates the meridian/channel to  manipulate our organs, tissues, and other physiological systems. The channels are the empty spaces between various tissue, muscle, and bone where acupuncture points can be found.

CHinese Herbal Therapy

Chinese herbal formulas can be prescribed with every treatment based off of a Chinese medical diagnosis. Chinese formulas are composed of potent herbs that work synergistically to target a certain organ or imbalance, and multiple herbs are used to balance our entire system. These formulas were crafted hundreds to thousands of years ago and tested and adapted to human subjects.

Chinese herbs contain nutrients and vitamins that are more available to the body because they are in their natural form and not synthesized in a laboratory.

Cupping

Cupping is used to promote the circulation and reduce stagnation of qi, blood, and body fluids therefore decreasing pain. It is also good for cold trapped in the muscle.

Guasha

Guasha is similar to cupping in that it is used to stimulate the surrounding tissue and nervous system to heal the area of tension or pain.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is the burning of dried mugwort that has been aged over 5 years and is applied over acupuncture points and channels, or areas of pain. It promotes the movement of blood and adds a warmth to the body which helps the circulation and can strengthen the digestive system. It is also one of the few ways to strengthen an organ, channel, or enhance the function of a certain point. Moxa is a miracle herb and the modality I use the most. See picture above.
